Websites for small businesses

See it before
you order.

My name is Michał and I build websites for small businesses. Below are three I made from scratch, so you don't have to take my word for it. Switch tabs and open any of them.

These are demo projects, not client work. I built them to show how I work. Click a preview to open the whole site.

Services

What I'll build for you

Business website

A site whose job is to make someone call.

Services, prices, photos, opening hours, how to find you. Exactly what someone is looking for after landing on you from Google or Instagram.

barber, florist, clinic, garage

Website with booking

The same, plus customers book themselves.

A booking or enquiry form, an email alert, a menu or price list you can edit yourself. Fewer phone calls in the middle of a job.

restaurant, salon, appointment work

Something bigger

A shop, a dashboard, a web app.

If you need something beyond a website, describe it to me. I'll say straight away whether I'll take it on and how long it will take.

online sales, internal systems

In every project

Works on a phone

I design from the phone screen up, because that is where most of your customers will come from.

Loads fast

No heavy plugins or page builders. The site should open before anyone changes their mind.

Visible in Google

Correct titles, descriptions and business details. The basics, without promising you first place.

Contact in one tap

The number dials, the address opens a map, the form lands in your inbox.

Launch and domain

I handle publishing, the certificate and connecting the domain. You configure nothing.

I show you how to change it

After handover we go through whatever you will want to edit yourself.

I don't publish a price list, because a florist's website and an online shop are two different conversations. Tell me what you want to achieve and I'll come back with a figure and a date. No obligation.

Process

How it goes, step by step

At every step I also say what falls to you. Commissioning a website is stressful mostly because nobody says that part out loud.

  1. 01

    The call

We talk or write. I ask about the business, about your customers, and about what should happen when someone lands on the site.

    Your part

Twenty minutes. You don't need to prepare anything.

  2. 02

    Quote

You get the price, the date and the scope by email. In writing, so nothing surprises you along the way.

    Your part

You decide whether we go ahead.

  3. 03

    Design

I show you how the site will look before I write a line of code. We keep changing it until it's right.

    Your part

You say what you don't like. At this stage changes cost nothing.

  4. 04

    Build

I build the site and put it on a temporary link. You look whenever you want and see the progress.

    Your part

You send me the text and photos. If you don't have them, I help you sort that out.

  5. 05

    Launch

I connect the domain and the certificate, check it on phones and in browsers, and submit the site to Google.

    Your part

Nothing. Unless the domain is registered to you, in which case I'll tell you what to click.

  6. 06

    After that

Small fixes after launch are on me. Bigger changes I quote separately, and I say so up front.

    Your part

You write when something needs changing.

About

One person, from the first callto launch

My name is Michał Tulej and VueUp is me. There is no support desk and no account manager passing your notes along. You talk to the person who writes your site.

For a small business that is usually an advantage. You know who picks up the phone, and a fix you ask for on Monday doesn't have to pass through three people to reach the code.

I built the three sites in the preview above myself, from an empty file. You can open them and see how they behave on a phone before deciding whether you want to work with me.

What I won't do

  • I don't put sites on an off-the-shelf WordPress theme and call it custom work.
  • I don't promise first place in Google. I'll do my part. The rest depends on your industry and your competition.
  • I don't run more than two projects at a time. Sometimes that means asking you to wait two weeks.
  • I don't disappear after handover. The number and the email stay the same as before the job.

Contact

Tell me what you want to achieve

I reply within one working day, with a figure and a date, and no obligation on your side. If you would rather just talk, call.
